Unitex is the industry leading medical textile rental service provider serving the Healthcare industry for 90 years. We currently operate nine processing facilities located in the Tri-State area. Since 1915, we have been privately held, family run business. Our customer base consists of more than 3,000 clients throughout the Northeast, including acute-care facilities, nursing homes, long-term and assisted living facilities, surgi-centers and diagnostic clinics, as well as professional, medical and dental offices. Unitex is expanding here in the Northeast along with the Healthcare industry; we are not going offshore. And being ecologically-minded, we run a green business.
Job Details:
As a result of our current unprecedented growth, we are seeking experienced and highly skilled production mechanic for our state-of-the-art facility located in Mount Vernon, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all production related equipment. As well you will be required to perform preventative maintenance checks, work to improve processes and adhere to and address safety related issues. Our culture encourages independent thinking and recognizes hard work and achievement.
Qualifications:
*Knowledge of Pneumatics and Electrical components and devices
*Previous experience in a service/operations environment
*Understands production work flow and processes
*Detail oriented and ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
*Must be dependable
*Able to work in a diverse work environment
*Possess a “Can Do” attitude
*Union Pay and Beneftis
*Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish)
